The Prosperity Party (PP) is a political party in Ethiopia, established in December 2019. It emerged as a successor to the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF), which had been the ruling coalition since 1991. The PP was formed under the leadership of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who sought to unify the country by dissolving the ethnically based parties that comprised the EPRDF and creating a single, national party.
